Visages of Resilience

A Fabric Portrait Series Celebrating Fortitude and Strength

Through my portraits, I wish to share portraits of individuals who have struggled and triumphed, portraits that reflect how the human spirit prevails despite adverse conditions. The portraits are made of cloth to symbolize our common humanity- we all wear cloth. The medium is designed to connect us with one another. I wish to include a diverse group of people who were confronted with challenges and who were able to rise above them. I hope this series will inspire and instill hope in those who view the portraits. All portraits, once completed, become the property of the individuals shown.
