Ellen O. Nelson
Ellen considers herself to be an art activist, using her art to promote peace and the common good.
Arriving in the fall of 1987, Ellen O. Nelson is a member of the Arts Department at The Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. She earned her Bachelor of Science at Ithaca College and her Master of Arts in Teaching Visual Art at the Institute of Art and Design at New England College. Ellen is the Gallery Coordinator for the Center For The Arts Boyer Gallery, where she curates more than six exhibits annually.
In addition to teaching all levels of Studio Art and Advanced Placement Art History, Ellen is an accomplished artist in her own right, having exhibited at the Waldorf Hotel in NYC and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. She has been a juror for the Perkiomen Valley Art Center, ArtFusion of Pottstown, and the Philadelphia Water Color Society. She has been a guest lecturer at Albright College and the Reading Public Museum.
